Hi, I’m troubleshooting a problem where one of my teammates (and not others) seems to have missing reference problems on my Utility AI files. When looking at an AI in the inspector, it looks like this: Missing Ref

They have tried force-syncing via Perforce the Resources folder and the entire Apex folder (AINameMap included ofc), as well as the prefabs the Utility AI Clients are attached to, and nothing seems to change. I think I’ve fixed this problem before, but can’t remember how–do you have any ideas? Thank you!

Missing references are caused by meta files being replaced.
A meta file is how Unity identifies a component or components, in case of assemblies.

So the meta files that we provide as part of the product cannot be changed in any way or you will get this problem. Most likely your colleagues have deleted the metas and Unity has recreated a new meta and all references will be lost.

Luckily the fix is simple, make sure the correct metas are used.
