Gravity issue.

    Hi,

I am having a strange gravity issue. My rigidbody has gravity unchecked and the player still falls normally as if gravity is checked.

With some debugging I found out that when I disable the steerable Unit component the gravity is then disabled.

Any Ideas as to why this is happening?

We use our own gravity in Apex Path. Have a look at the Default Height Navigator component.

If you want to turn off gravity you can either write your own height navigator using the default one as a reference, or simply set the gravity acceleration to 0.

Oh btw i saw references on the char controller. Should I use that instead of the rigid body? I am asking as I noticed collisions are better with a char controller but not sure how apex handles it.

    Cheers

If a char controller is on the unit, Apex Path will use that to move units.

Also know that if you want to change how units are moved, you can always implement your own IMoveUnits and attach that to the unit.
The three default implelentations (transform, rigidbody and char controller) can be found in the Steerable Unit Component class.
