Apex Utility AI Release!

    We are putting the last finishing touches on Apex Utility AI!

    Release date: February 2016.

    Feel free to ask questions etc. regarding pricing that is still something we are working on.

    Just came across this: (BTW you may want a link to the page)

    I think you may wish to change “impotent” to “important”

    The former is not the word you should use 😉

    Great news, but what is it exactly?
    Is it a behavior tree that will be like those that already exist but way better technically?
    Is it a behavior tree with lots of specialized tasks for path and steer, because
    if it is i can stop writing code right now.
    :)
    Or will it be a bunch of functionalities like a tool bag with all the essential AI situation perfectly coded.

    Will it be separated by genre with one asset per genre :
    Turn-based Strategy
    Real-time Strategy
    Third Person Shooters
    Roleplaying Games
    First Person Shooters

    cause there are so much functionalities covered that i start worrying
    if this is not too much. Perhaps that’s simple stuff when you already done path and steer,
    lot’s of of simple stuff.

    Though i not sure unity will allow that it could be to much damage to other assets creator.
    Your assets are too professional not sure what the end game is.

    Very interested in what it is exactly. A set of tools, a pure API, etc. ?

    Currently we are using Apex Path, Apex Steer and a third party behaviour tree. Would be nice to know how Apex Utility AI is integrated with other Apex products.

    The Apex Utility AI is an API (foundation) and an editor in which to create and design AIs.
    We will soon be releasing much more detail on how the AI works and how it differs from Finite State Machines and Behaviour Trees. There are multiple evolutionary steps of AI and this is the next step up from behaviour trees.

    Apex Utility AI has no dependencies on other Apex Products, but they can of course be used together.

    While the product itself is complete and ready for launch, we have unfortunately run into some technical issues related to the launch.

    For this reason we have to postpone the launch until those issues are sorted.
    We expect this to happen during the first week of March which will allow us to release shortly thereafter.

    Could you please explain how your subscription will work, what are the deliveries and how can we get a trial without proceeding to paypal step (if possible).

    Try the Apex Utility AI for Free
    The subscription can be canceled at any time
    We want you to try Apex Utility AI with absolutely no payment or commitments whatsoever!

    That is why we have introduced a subscription model that can be canceled at any time, also to be able to let you try before paying anything we add a 1 month trial ahead of the subscription.

    This means that you are perfectly safe to sign up for our subscription and if you during the trial period finds out for any reason that Apex Utility AI does not match you game AI requirements you simply cancel your subscription and you have tried without paying anything.

    On the other side if you find that Apex Utility AI is the perfect match for you and your team you don’t have to do anything. When the trial expires your subscription starts automatically and you just continue working as you use to. I you at any point don’t need the Apex Utility AI you simply just cancel your subscription.

    The best part is that the AIs you have already configured keeps working, even after you stop your subscription.

    I was looking at the survival shooter toturials and documentations. But i cannot seem to find the Survuval Shooter project code where utility AI is implemented. Is is mentioned a few placs but nothing about where to get it.
